Our Story
Audrey and Matthew met in college after their junior year at the University of North Texas through mutual friends, but their story started long before that in ways they didn’t even realize at the time. As kids, they both attended the same church camp, spending time with friends from each other’s churches without ever meeting. Even in college, their lives overlapped repeatedly. They attended the same parties, football games, and group hangouts, but they had no idea they were there at the same time.
Looking back, it feels like their paths were gently weaving together all along as part of God’s plan.
Their first official date was at an ice cream shop called Beth Marie’s in Denton, Texas. Over scoops of mint chocolate chip and easy conversation, something just clicked. A few months later, they made their relationship official, and after graduation, they both moved to Dallas to begin their careers and experience a new city together.
On December 14, 2024, Matthew took Audrey back to a quiet park they used to walk through often. Matthew got down on one knee and proposed with a ring he designed for Audrey, featuring a diamond that had been saved by her grandmother Mia.
Audrey said yes (through happy tears), and the surprises didn’t stop there. Matthew had planned a dinner nearby with some of her closest friends, ready to celebrate the moment with joy and love.
Now Audrey and Matthew are getting ready to start their next chapter, and they can’t wait to get married and celebrate with all of you who mean so much to them.
